Christmas 2024 was our first year in the glamping tent after they resumed our van site after 40 years of camping there for up to 4 weeks over the summer.

At the end we were paying $2600 to camp for 4 weeks. This year it jumped up to $3600 for 1 week. I recently saw an advert for a return flight on Singapore Airlines to London for $1700. That is hard to put into perspective at the best of times.

That said we had a very pleasant week catching up with friends and family. So much so we have reserved a stay for the same period this year for $3800. Go figure!
